How the hub is sourced, corrected and kept honest — the rules we hold ourselves to.

Sources

Guide and landscape content comes from three places: our own bench work on 5-axis machines, control and slicing since 2022; published research and project documentation; and direct correspondence with the people doing the work. Where a claim rests on a single source, we prefer to say so — or to leave it out.

Snapshots and dates

Fast-moving parts of the hub are dated. The technology landscape is a snapshot of the field as of November 2026; the guides, the landscape and the research agenda each carry a “Last updated” line. Research agenda statuses are reviewed as work in the field progresses — including when the news is that someone else moved first.

Corrections

Errors get fixed on the page, not argued about. Send a correction through the contact form (choose “Contribute to the hub”) or by email, ideally with a source link. Substantive contributions are credited on the page they improve.

What a listing means

Inclusion in the landscape is informational. It is not an endorsement, there are no paid placements, and projects can be listed, corrected or removed at their owners' request.

Conflicts of interest, declared

We build prototype machines and take on custom builds and joint development — that is stated openly on the platform page, and our own route in the landscape is labelled as ours. The reference content is written to be useful to people who will never buy anything from us; where a topic touches our commercial work directly, we say so in the text.

Review before publication

New pages are checked against their sources before they go up, and numbers we cannot verify are marked as provisional or omitted. Pages are added in small batches, deliberately — a hub that grows slowly and stays accurate is worth more than a content flood.
